Whether you're hybrid working from home or at the corporate office, you are probably wearing a headset at some time throughout your day.  Zoom calls, Microsoft Teams meetings, etc. are the most popular way for people to connect, so a good professional headset has become one of the most valued items in the communications toolbox.

There are many headsets both corded and wireless available in the marketplace, but for purposes of this article, we are comparing two of the most popular wireless headsets:  Jabra Evolve 75 and Poly Voyager Focus 2.

Both of these headsets are available in UC and Microsoft Teams USB versions.

So, what are the more significant differences?

Battery Life - Battery life is important, especially if your job requires you to be on the phone all day long.  We look for longevity and comfort.

Jabra Evolve 75 - Talk time - 15 hrs., Listening time up to 17 hrs.

Poly Voyager Focus 2 - Talk time - 19 hrs., Listening time up to 40 hrs.

Time to Charge - Both come with a charging cable that can plug into your computer while your battery is on the charger.  Many other headsets don't offer that feature.

Jabra Evolve 75 - 3 hrs. to charge

Poly Voyager Focus 2 - 2 hrs. to charge with standby up to 30 days.

Comfort - Both headsets are lightweight and have very comfortable hear cushions, but Poly Voyager Focus 2 also has a cushioned headband adding extra comfort.

Bluetooth Versions - Both are Bluetooth enabled with the included dongle, however the Poly Voyager Focus 2 has the newer technology.

Jabra Evolve 75 - Version 4.2 with a transmission rate of 1MBPS.

Poly Voyager Focus 2 - Version 5.1 with a transmission rate of 2 MBPS.

Range - The newer Bluetooth version has a longer range.

Jabra Evolve 75 - Range up to 100 feet.

Poly Voyager Focus 2 - Range up to 164 feet.

Price - Using MSRP, the Poly Voyager Focus 2 is a little cheaper and has newer technology.
