One of the unique features of using a wireless headset with a desktop phone is to be able to walk away from your desk and still be able to answer and end calls remotely.  To accomplish this easily, you would need a telephone handset lifter such as the HL10.

When properly connected, by simply pressing a button on the headset, the HL10 automatically lifts up the telephone handset allowing you to answer the call.  When finished with the call, press the button on the headset again and the HL10 lays the telephone handset back to the phone cradle which ends the call by hanging up the phone.
